Two New DVDs have been added to the library stock!


1)    The Luttrell Psalter Film by WAG Screen

This 20-minute film draws on over 35 different images from the 14th c. Luttrell Psalter manuscript and gives us a unique glimpse of a year in the life of medieval village. Filmed over four seasons which has mainly been done on Lincolnshire nature reserves, it shows the changing landscape with its wildlife and flowers and the daily activities which dominated the lives of our forefathers.

The film features an original sound track of medieval music and 48 minutes of extras, including behind the scenes documentaries, which explore medieval life and the making of the film.

2)      Foot care in cattle: hoof structure and trimming

Foot care in cattle: hoof structure and trimming by Roger Blowey

In this 55 min. video Roger Blowey discusses the structure of the foot, the effects of hoof overgrowth and how this contributes to cow discomfort and ailments such as sole ulcers. It combines a detailed study of the anatomy of the hoof with practical foot-trimming.
