Sconul Access scheme – Using other libraries

The RAU library is a member of the Sconul Access scheme which allows you to access other university libraries.

The scheme enables staff, research students, full-time and part-time postgraduates, and distance-learning and placement students to borrow material from other libraries. Full time undergraduates may use these libraries for reference only.

You will need to take your University card and your validated SCONUL Access application with you on each visit. You must also follow the regulations of any library you choose to join.
To join the Sconul Access scheme you need to go to the Sconul website , select the sconul access tab (right hand side).

and complete the on-line application form. Once you have submitted your application, providing you have no outstanding debts on your RAU’s Library account, you will receive an email informing you that you have been successful in your application.

Please note: You only need to apply once, even if you wish to use several institutions.

Print out the confirmatory email and take it, along with your RAU’s University ID card, with you every time you wish to visit another institution.
