BetterWorld Books…..for a better environment!

Did you know that the 1,432 withdrawn books that we have sent to BetterWorld Books (http://betterworldbooks.com/) have made a positive impact on the environment?

Based on BetterWorldBooks’ account averages, for every 1,000 Books they received from us we have:

• Earned £100

• Raised £33 for a literacy charity

 • Saved 16 trees

• Saved 2 metres cubed of Landfill Space

• Saved 35,702 litres of water

• Saved 3,298 Kwh of Electricity

• Saved 646Kg of Greenhouse gases

These figures show the green impact of our relationship with BetterWorldBooks and are a small celebration for Climate Week http://www.climateweek.com/

Brilliant! Will check if I have any books at home to donate to the library as well 🙂
I also like BookCrossing as a way to “recycle” books.
