Extended opening hours

Library opening hours on Wednesdays during term-time will be extended from this week!

We will now be open until 8pm from Wednesday 14th.

However, please note that there will be a reduced level of service during these extended hours (ie 5pm to 8pm) on Wednesdays.  In effect the library will be open as a study space.  There follows a list of those services that will (and won’t) be available:

Returning books Yes
Using books, journals etc. within the library Yes
Borrowing books No, not after 5pm
Requesting printer paper for College printers Yes
Using Short Loans within the library Yes, but only on production of a valid RAC student id/library card and the books must be returned before 8pm. Absolutely no exceptions.
Taking Short Loans into the foyer or, borrowing Short Loans overnight No, not after 5pmNo, not on Wednesdays-no exceptions
Renewing books Not at the desk – only online via your user account
Reserving books Not at the desk – only online via your user account
Topping up printer credit No
Use of photocopiers Yes
Purchasing photocopy cards No
Paying fines No
Enquiry service / technical issues with photocopiers etc. A note of your enquiry will be made and passed to library staff for action the following day

Services on other late opening days, ie Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays remain unaffected.
